What Is the Sentricon® Colony Elimination System?
The Sentricon® Colony Elimination System is a termite baiting system that works on the whole colony, including the queen, instead of only the termites near the wood. Stations placed around the home are checked on a schedule, and no drilling or trenching is needed. State Termite is a certified Sentricon installer, Ohio-licensed, and family-owned since 1933.
How Installation and Monitoring Work
- Free inspection. A technician checks the foundation, the basement or crawlspace, and any wood in contact with the soil. See our free termite inspection.
- Station placement. Stations go into the soil around the perimeter of the home, not into your walls or foundation, so your landscaping is left alone.
- Baiting. Foraging termites find the stations and carry the bait back to the colony, which is how the colony is eliminated down to the queen.
- Monitoring. The stations are checked on a schedule, and that monitoring is how activity and results are confirmed over time.
Sentricon® vs. a Liquid Barrier
We offer both, and the right one depends on the construction of the home, the soil, and where the activity is. The technician makes a straight recommendation after the inspection.
